Application of Nebulizers

Nebulizers are primarily used to convert liquid medications or saline solution into micron-sized aerosol particles, which are then inhaled and act directly on the respiratory tract and lung lesions. They are widely used to treat respiratory diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pharyngitis, offering advantages such as rapid onset of action, high local drug concentration, and minimal systemic side effects.

Clinical and Medical Applications:

Bronchoasthenia: Rapidly relieves acute attacks by inhaling bronchodilators to alleviate airway spasm.

Respiratory Tract Infections: Used for pneumonia and acute and chronic bronchitis, in conjunction with anti-inflammatory or expectorant medications to reduce mucosal edema and thin and expel sputum.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Used for daily anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator, and ventilation improvement.

Airway Humidification and Care: Used to humidify the airway and thin secretions in patients under surgical anesthesia, on ICU mechanical ventilation, or with endotracheal intubation.
